As part of our efforts to reach the point that we can ship a device that consists mainly of robust, injection molded parts, we have been testing and evaluating concepts. Ideally, we can eliminate problems by choosing the right materials. However, there are also going to be some changes to the design itself.
This is the adjustment mechanism that allows you to adjust the position of the keys to the size of your fingers. It enables that people between 1.60m and 2.00m can have the keys directly at their finger tips.
This is one way we made the new prototype more robust, so it will never snap and break while fitting it to your hand.
My main reason to introduce these push buttons is that the direction of the force to lock/unlock the mechanism becomes different from the adjustment direction.
