Here’s a preview of our current 3D printed prototype. Showing an alternative solution for the strap, where the hand can rest on a surface now without material in-between.
We think that this solution also scores well on comfort, remains in place when moving the hand, and it’s still easy to put on/off.
The ‘fun’ part: we have been doing roundtrips going light weight. In combination with the material that was used this didn’t always go well. The material used was definitely too brittle, but did point out very clearly where the weak spots were.
(reason to use an open design is that we are much faster doing round trips. The final design obviously will have a closed casing and will look more like the one shown in the pre-order section. Dimensionally, this proto is fully representative. All contact points with the hands and all adjustment ranges will be derived from this)
